What's the difference between a deep clean and a basic clean?
While basic cleaning is about maintaining a clean and tidy environment, deep cleaning is a more thorough and exhaustive process that tackles dirt and grime that accumulates over time. Deep Cleaning goes beyond the surface to clean areas that are often neglected in regular cleaning routines. It targets built-up grime, hidden dirt, and hard-to-reach spots. Deep cleans also take significantly more time, effort, and often requires special cleaning supplies or equipment.
SCOPE
Basic cleaning involves routine tasks that keep the build up at bay. It focuses on visible dirt and mess. Tasks like dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens (e.g., cleaning sinks, toilets, countertops). Deep cleaning involves everything in a basic cleaning plus more detailed tasks like scrubbing washing baseboards/windows, removing buildup/grease/grime, and deep detailed dusting. FREQUENCY
Basic cleanings are done weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly to maintain cleanliness. Deep cleans are typically done every few months, seasonally, or before/after special events. It's also common before moving into a new home or after renovation work.
TIME
Basic cleanings take less time to complete, as it targets areas that get dirty quickly but aren't deeply soiled. Deep cleans take double or triple the time and often requires more products and tools to complete.
